Certification: Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Psychological Trauma

Our EMDR course is designed to refine and expand psychotherapists’ clinical expertise, offering a dynamic and professional learning experience that can transform your practice and elevate the positive impact you have on your clients’ lives.

Endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), EMDR is recognised globally as a potent and highly efficient therapy for addressing challenging symptoms. Its recommendation for treating psychological trauma underscores its acceptance and validation within the professional psychotherapy community, assuring you that you are learning a method that is both respected and effective.

Designed to treat both longstanding psychological disturbances and recent adverse experiences, students engaging with our EMDR training programme will delve into the practical application of the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, a conceptual framework that underpins EMDR therapy. The AIP model offers insights into addressing unresolved traumatic memories that manifest as emotional dysregulation, maladaptive behaviours, and overall dissatisfaction in life. Renowned for its swiftness and efficacy, EMDR also demonstrates remarkable success in alleviating conditions such as depression, anxiety, phobias, excessive grief, somatic ailments, and addictions. Serving as a valuable tool in the therapist’s arsenal, it also provides exciting strategies for improving performance and enhancing wellbeing. As you master EMDR, you’ll be equipped to provide profound and lasting healing to

your clients as they harness their full potential and experience a newfound sense of self.

EMDR is a remarkably effective therapy on its own. Additionally, it integrates well with approaches such as Ego State Therapy, creating a powerful unified system that empowers clients to overcome even the most challenging issues.
